Vinsy is a mobile application that helps users discover flea markets, vintage fairs, and pop-up events all in one place. AI-powered features work quietly in the background to streamline event discovery—supporting event sourcing, simplifying uploads, and organizing listings for clear, accessible browsing. Our goal was to capture the excitement of vintage hunting while addressing common pain points around discoverability, organization, and community connection.
The problem
Vintage shopping can often feel like a treasure hunt—difficult to navigate, fragmented, and time-consuming. Buyers struggle to find flea markets, vintage stores, and events that suit their interests, while sellers face challenges reaching the right customers.
The solution
Vinsy is designed to connect vintage enthusiasts with the best flea markets, antique stores, and pop-up events. It simplifies the process by offering an easy-to-use platform where users can find, follow, and get reminders for the events and places they care about most.
Design Process
With a clear understanding of our users, we moved into an iterative design process focused on clarity, delight, and ease of use. We began by sketching key user flows—like browsing events, saving favorites, and discovering new shops—then quickly built interactive prototypes to test the experience end-to-end. Throughout the process, we conducted regular user testing, using feedback to refine navigation, layout, and content hierarchy. This helped us simplify interactions and ensure the app felt intuitive from the first tap.
The UI design of Vinsy blends a youthful energy with a touch of nostalgia, inspired by early 2000s aesthetics. The app features a pastel gradient backdrop, bubbly typography, and playful sticker-style illustrations—like rainbows, peace signs, and smiley faces—that evoke a sense of fun and personal expression. These visual cues help transform Vinsy from just another event app into something that feels loved and lived-in, like a digital scrapbook for vintage treasure hunters.

Vinsy is an evolving product, and this launch marks an important step in building a more connected vintage community. Next phases focus on expanding to additional vintage-loving locations, onboarding vendors directly within the app, and continuing to test and iterate alongside a growing user base. By learning from real usage and feedback, Vinsy will continue to refine how people discover, share, and experience vintage culture.
